The service

Loric is a design workbench for engineers. It answers questions with clause citations and publishes design patterns with the controls they address and the failure modes seen against them.

It is not a certification body, an ISMS tool or a consultancy. No output is assurance of compliance, and no output should be treated as legal advice.

Limits of output

Regulatory text and dates change. You are responsible for verifying anything you plan around against the current official text before you rely on it.

Loric does not state that your design meets a requirement or that it will satisfy an assessor. Where a requirement is engaged, the phrasing is that a design addresses a control and an assessor will look for particular evidence.

Accounts and acceptable use

Three questions are available without an account. Beyond that, an account and a valid email address are required; the free allowance is ten questions a month.

Do not resell, scrape or bulk-extract the archive or the pattern library, and do not use the service to build a competing corpus.

Billing

Founding accounts are billed monthly per user in advance and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the paid period.

The Founding rate is locked for the life of the account. Features that ship later are included at that price and are not sold as separate upgrades.

Data rights

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Loric a perpetual, worldwide right to use aggregated and anonymised usage, question and outcome data to operate and improve the service and to build and publish the pattern corpus.

No customer-identifying information is ever included in the corpus, and neither the corpus nor any underlying customer data is sold, licensed or otherwise made available to third parties in identifying form.

No customer record, telemetry, email address or usage signal is shared with the separate compliance-scoring business under common founder ownership, in either direction, in any form, including aggregated.

Liability

The service is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, Loric's aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
