Privacy
What we collect
Account holders: an email address, and the questions asked, patterns viewed and items saved to Kit under that account.
Visitors without an account: the questions asked in the free allowance, and privacy-respecting, EU-hosted analytics that set no cookies and build no cross-site profile.
What we measure
Questions asked, broken down by framework; questions the system could not ground in a retrievable source; pattern views; Kit saves; conversion from free to paid; and which archive pages people arrive on.
Questions the system cannot ground are recorded separately as gaps in the corpus. They are treated as work to be done, not as a log line.
Where data is held
Application data is held in the EU and UK. Analytics and error tracking are EU-hosted and operated on infrastructure that belongs to Loric alone.
Affiliation and the data barrier
Loric is under common founder ownership with a separate compliance-scoring business. No customer record, telemetry, email address or usage signal moves between the two systems in either direction, in any form, including aggregated.
This is a commitment in this policy, not an internal preference, and the same clause appears in the affiliated business's privacy policy. Separate legal entities, payment processing, support and sending domains, analytics properties, error tracking and status pages exist so the barrier is observable rather than asserted.
Aggregated and anonymised data
Loric uses aggregated and anonymised usage, question and outcome data to improve the service and to build the pattern corpus. No customer-identifying information is ever included in that corpus, and it is never sold or licensed to third parties.
Your rights and contact
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can export the questions you have asked. Write to privacy@loric.uk.
